Dear people,
i'm exhausted beyond words!
HAH! I havent even started working and already i feel so tired trying
to look for a job today with Sarah!
And so we applied for Toy'R'Us and Secret Recipe after our long and dreadful
futile jobhunt. Every other store outlets like Topshop and Mango are asking
for full time workers with at least 3 months contract.
I wonder what happens if u breach the contract. Hrm.
So anyway, something happened today that made me realise how different
Sporean guys are as compared to some English or foreign guys.

So me and Sarah were heading for the toilet.
The main entrance to the two toilets had a big glass door.
So this English man around the age of 30-40 had already opened the door
for himself to exit from the toilet area towards us who were entering.
He was already halfway through the door when he suddenly saw me.
Sarah was a little further behind me.
So he actually took a few steps backwards and opened to door for me!
And he did that gesture using his left hand as though inviting me to enter before he exits!
And then, i thought he was going out straight after me, but he actually held on to the glass door,
still in the boundary of the toilet area, waiting for Sarah to make her way pass the door towards the toilet
before he actually make an exit!
How gentlemanly was that?!
I was very very pleasantly surprised of course.
To reply his act of courtesy, i gave him a smile and a thank you.

I realise, no Sporean man would ever do that!
Ok, at least none had done that for us before!
It was indeed a sort of an eye opener.
Its probably because such act is not in our culture and is very rarely practised.
Hence, there's the lack of basic courtesy amongst us Sporeans.
However hard the government tries to promote courtesy among our people,
i still think that Sporeans will never really have it instilled in them.
Simply because, our country rushes too much, worries too much,
and works too hard. But who can we blame for that? There is a need for all that.
It is human nature that people usually put themselves before others but if only our
country was more relaxed, like the european countries, perhaps people would
bother to actually take a step backwards and let others pass before them.
I therefore concluded today that, should i have the money one day,
i would migrate to another country and bring my future children up in a place
where it is in the culture that people practise basic courtesy. =}
Of course the reason is to prevent more existence of
arrogant, ignorant and lack of moral people. For example,
the auntie who treated a guest, me, like a robber.

Anyway, Thank You So very much Sarah, for the loveliest top ever!
Its really nice and i love it to bits and pieces! =D
I'm hoping both of us get the jobs at TRUS. =}
Till next time mates, do take care! =D
