Photo done by my cousin.

I just had to steal some time off my excessively busy schedule (busy woman lah) to blog about the most significant weekends this year. WillWalk organized by SRJC and Singfest. One word to describe Singfest, FAWESOME! (Tickets courtesy of my cousin. Still owing a hundred.)

SRJC run for charity, 020808, WillWalk compelled me into walking 10km for 3 hrs around hougang to punggol park, tampines road and what not. OMG. My feet(especially my heels) felt rather numb when i got back. Came back home real late after that due to Art. Was forced to stay back all the way till 6pm. Was bloody tired by the time i got home but of course, the thought of Singfest was my anaesthetic.

I so badly want to upload the pictures and videos i took BUT i used 6 megapixel for the digicam and now the file sizes are abnormally humongous. To make things worse, this freaking laptop can't seem to unzip any zip files i receive or any files i zipped on this laptop itself. Either the laptop's retarded or i am.

Singfest 03/08/08, one of the best days of my life. The artists who came down were dope! Sorry i just had to say it. There was no highlight of the day really, good things just kept coming! I especially loved Jamie Scott, whose voice was reminiscent of Phil Colins and Bryan Adams, Jason Mraz who sang acoustic like he was rapping and who could forget the PussyCatDolls! They were hawt enough to turn me lesbian. Nicole sounded so different when talking in real life, a tad bimbotic to be honest. They were on fire. And they covered Stick With You!

Despite the unbearable searing heat and the long minutes and hours of waiting before, during and after the concert (had to wait for cab), it was all worth the while. Got to admit though, at one point of time during the horribly long queue, i actually regretted going, but when the entrance to the main stage opened, nothing else mattered. We squeezed our way through, elbow to elbow, pushing our way in to rush towards the stage. It was literally suffocating, but exciting.

Like how you feel when on a rollercoaster ride before it starts.

The only period of time when i felt so fucked up was when Panic At The Disco came out, no offence to any fans out there but i just dont fancy the vocals and the music. Quite trashy. It was such a bore for me. On top of that, there was this annoying short and stout malay girl beside me who had afro curly hair (no offence intended again) jumping up and down and side to side non-stop thinking she was at zouk or something. Noone else around me were that active at that moment. I couldn't care less if she wanted to jump VERTICALLY up and down (perhaps she couldnt see and desperately needed an excuse to jump) to have fun but my god, she didnt have to jump side to side rubbing against me for a full half an hour or so with her hands up and down pointing in the air like she was doing Bangra all over my face. That's not all, she didnt even bother to tie her hair up in a tight bun or something and throughout the torment of standing beside a continuously jumping mad 14 year old (she looked 14 or 15), i had to endure the scrub of my life for half and hour with her maggi-mee hair brushing against my arm non-stop. I was like suffering in silence. I think Siti saw me being so serious at that point of time. I could have told her off about the hair but her friend had already done so for me, unfortunately fell on deaf ears (literally maybe, since she was screaming all the while too). So half of the time i was thinking of how to get rid of at least the scrubbing if not the parallel humping and i finally resorted to placing my hand fan over my right arm for cover. Thank God she moved further forward to torture other people after Panic at The Disco.

Inspite of having to stand through Sunday from 12pm to 12am after a Saturday of endurance walk, I had a blast at Singfest, so good that the experience still lingers in my memory, very vividly. Feels almost real at times when the music plays in my head. Enjoyed every bit of it.

and oh ya, met long-time-no-see shahidah there =)
Loving concerts!

Some pictures from my cam, taking forever to load here lah!
