We were sitting on the deck at Vivo, while munching on Burger King take-aways, camwhoring against the backdrop of the incomplete Sentosa while discussing the possibilities of enhancing its landscapes with additional flaura and fauna here and there, when a group of insanely bizarre people, seemingly from India, appeared out of no where!
They looked Middle Eastern, especially the men, and the way the men were all in tuxedos, wearing on their heads what looked like Kopiah/Songkok/the Jewish headdress. The women however, hinted North Indian, from their traditional costumes which comprised of absolutely beautiful multi-coloured Sari, to their gold accessories which made them look all dressed up for a wedding.
There were about 50 of them or so, both men and women almost equally numbered, and they started gathering about a few feet away from us. As if that wasn't strange enough for such a location, they then segregated themselves by gender and stood in what looked like a ring of people surrounding their leader.
We were wondering what they were about to do, when they suddenly began praising/praying aloud with their hands clasped, and heads bowing to that person in the center of the ring. It was a fascinating sight, a cultural experience from having viewed their ritualistic practice in which they had boldly ignored the presence of the public, namely Singaporeans like us who were made to feel under dressed and out of place due to their extremely formal attire. And of course, the other civilized members of the public were compelled to lower their volume to be respectful towards what was happening.
The thing that was most amusing and puzzling however was the fact that it all took place at, THE ROOF DECK AT VIVOCITY, facing Sentosa, at 6.45pm in the late afternoon.
Wan said they were praying for luck before proceeding to the Casino. Hahaha. He took a video, with very very very little discretion and photos of course.Yah, he's a reporter like that. *grr
I on the other hand, just thought that it could have been a prayer for the end to their trip in Singapore, or a prayer for safety before their trip to Batam, or better yet, a family of royalties saluting their MahaRaja.
But still, at Vivocity? On the Deck? Okay maybe it was the rainbow. Or maybe it wasn't even a prayer? But it sounded like an Oh Hail MahaRaja kind of thing.
But hello, why there? LOL. Sure made our day more memorable.

So anyway, I am going to have my wisdom tooth removed tomorrow(technically today) and I am nervous as fcuk. Seriously. I didn't think it would be a big deal, untill I started interviewing people and hearing their horror stories. Ham told me about the syringe, my mom described the swell to me, even <3 told me the experience he had when he was w his ex. Oh God help meeeee! If all goes well tomorrow, it will be out, and I will be down and out for the next week or so. :(((((((
